I awaited with eager anticipation the release of Butterfly Kisses because I am a fan of Michael Thomas. His other books, Hat Dance, Ostrich, and Crosswinds are excellent. I am happy to report that I loved this book! The female protagonist starts off the book with a bang. It is amazing how much havoc one little woman can wreak! Mari is intelligent and plots each move like a chess game. She is a female warrior. It is fun to see a woman of action who also has a good time sexually. The sex scenes in this novel are well-written and fun to read. Having the novel begin with such a bang made me wonder just how the ending could possibly surpass the devastion of the first pages. The ending was great, and you will have to read this book in order to enjoy the roller coaster thrill ride!Product details

Michael Thomas' book Butterfly Kisses - great book with a completely unique psychological premise that evokes the imagination. A very interesting read!
He tells tall tales about Mexico that are quite colorful. Word word word word word weed wood why and whatfore
The story is jumbled and awkwardly arranged, the dialogue so unnatural it's actually distracting, and the supposedly "highly trained operative" characters, Mari and Joe, are incredibly annoying and unrealistically dumb people. I'll forgive the numerous grammatical errors and hope it was just the result of getting the story in a version.
Butterfly Kisses is a brilliantly engaging tale of a young woman's fantastical life as a secret operative. And surprisingly, it's easy to believe every word. The writing, which evokes a true feel for both New Mexico and Mexico proper, brings the reader down to earth with flawed, yet genuine characters; inspired plot twists; and an overall feeling of realism...or at least frightening probability. As I read, I became more and more involved with the central character, Mari's complicated life -- a winding, disjointed path, where everyone seems to have control except for her. I was thrilled by the story's complexity, the depth of characters, and the exciting, unexpected conclusion. I would highly recommend this book to any reader who's looking for a book she or he won't be able to put down. You won't be disappointed! And it's worth mentioning that the print is fairly large, which is a plus for many readers.
